Outdoor Living Oasis in Overland Park
From empty backyard to year‑round retreat in 10 weeks
Client Challenge
The existing pool area featured an outdated gazebo and insufficient connection to the house. The main challenges included safely removing the old structure without harming adjacent features and updating the overall aesthetic and function of the outdoor space.
Our Solution
Our team meticulously removed the existing gazebo, poured a new concrete walkway surrounding the pool, and constructed a luxurious deck seamlessly connecting the home to a stylish new pavilion. Structural challenges were overcome with careful planning, resulting in a beautiful, cohesive outdoor living area.

How long does a custom deck or patio take from demo to drinks on the deck?
Most projects wrap in 4-6 weeks once we break ground. A simple ground-level composite deck lands closer to four; covered structures or stone patios run longer depending on complexity.
Do you handle permits?
Yes, our team manages permitting and inspections so you don’t have to.
Which materials hold up best in Kansas City weather?
We recommend TimberTech / Azek® composite for low-maintenance boards, cedar or steel for structural posts, and natural stone or stamped concrete for patios. All resist Midwest freeze-thaw cycles and stay cooler underfoot than budget PVC.
What if it rains during construction?
Light rain rarely slows us down; severe weather may shift a day or two. We build in a small weather buffer and protect exposed lumber with tarps to keep the timeline and materials on track.
