The homeowners craved a brighter, more contemporary kitchen but needed to stay within a tight budget. A full gut-renovation was off the table, so every dollar had to count. The must-keep items, original base cabinets and existing hardwood floors, added complexity: the old laminate countertop had to be removed without damaging the cabinetry, and any new finishes needed to blend seamlessly with the preserved elements while still delivering a modern feel.
Our Solution
We started by carefully detaching the countertop in sections, protecting the base cabinets and saving the client the cost of replacement. Fresh Shaker-style cabinet faces, matte-black hardware, and a subway-tile backsplash introduced timeless character, while durable quartz counters and a suite of energy-efficient stainless appliances provided the functional upgrade the family wanted. By focusing spend on high-impact surfaces and re-using solid underlying assets, we delivered a light-filled, modern kitchen that met both aesthetic goals and budget proving you don’t have to start from scratch to achieve a stunning transformation
